Responsibility...

Do your part. Life is a performance in a way! We are all required to do our parts as we journey though life. No one else can be you! Doing your part means taking ownership and fulfilling your responsibility each and every day. Your responsibility is not for tomorrow that you need to worry about how you will do this or that. Your responsibility is for today. Whatever actions you take may (most likely) affect tomorrow, but don't stress about that! Remember, tomorrow has enough cares of its own and if you didn't do your part yesterday, no need to stress about it because it's already dead and gone. Today, what is your responsibility? What are you responsible for? What are you here on earth to do for God, yourself, family, friends, work, etc.? What are you supposed to say or not say? Who are you supposed to reach out to or cut ties with? All of theses things (and more) are your responsibility.

You don't need to to worry or stress about the responsibilities of other people because you can't "make them" do or say anything they need to do/say OR not do/say. You are responsible to do your part and they are responsible for their part. You are definitely encouraged to encourage and give words of wisdom as is appropriate and you are led by God, but don't "tell with the intent to force" anyone to do something. Granted... and please understand... this is not to say to parents, don't discipline your children. Discipline is a responsibility parents have to "Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6) As a spouse, parent, child, sibling, friend, employee, business partner, etc., know your responsibility and do your part.

In Ezekiel 33:1-11, God spoke to Ezekiel and explained His expectations and what Ezekiel's responsibility was, as well as the responsibilities of the people of Israel. "If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me."

There are consequences for doing (or not doing) your part--especially when you know what you are supposed to do and don't do it. Whatever you are facing today... and every situation or encounter you will experience, take responsibility! Which will you choose today? Either to do or not do your part--will you take responsibility? And not blame other people?
