There is more to success than meets the eye! When you set out on a journey to achieve your next goal, there is so much preparation that will have gone on before you start... and so much work involved in the process--along the way--behind the scenes. Some people closest to you may get first hand experience of what you go through behind the scenes that the rest of the world don't see. In some instances, even those closest to you are not privy to some of the things you do to make this journey even possible.
There are levels of knowledge and access that people have with you. You determine who knows what based on how the journey is progressing. Sometimes it is better not to "cast pearls before swine" (dfn: valuable things offered or given to people who do not appreciate them.). Be wise. Not everyone needs to know what is going on behind the scenes. Use your discernment (dfn: the ability to judge well.) to know who to share what with and when. I am not suggesting that you have secrets, but you need to be wise in whom you confide in and share what is behind the scenes.
People see the outcome (success) of your hard work, time (months or years) invested, etc. but they may never truly comprehend how much effort it took, the struggles, setbacks, disappointments, injustices, etc. that you had to overcome. Don't compare your behind the scenes with other people's successes... it will only derail you and you don't need that on your journey! Instead, pick your cheer-leading team and they will be there to support you along the way. After all, Rome wasn't built in a day (a lot went on behind the scenes) , but it also wasn't built by only one person. You do need people around you. Just pick the right people that you will take behind the scenes.
When this journey is complete, you can share (at your discretion) what happened behind the scenes as a testimony and an encouragement to other people. After all, we are all here on earth to make a difference--not merely to exist. You were created with and for a purpose! This journey is one of the ways you are achieving that purpose. Don't ever fret about the behind the scenes... this too shall pass! Soldier on!!!
