Your Story!

Your Story is made up of life's precious moments. Every season as a reason--and contributes to Your Story. His Story (God's Story) is what He has planned for you. He has given you the gift of choice so that you may choose to walk with or without Him. Sometimes we fall by the wayside and get off track from His Story about you--but when we pick up the pieces (with His help) and get back on track, His Story about you continues.

What do you desire Your Story to be today? When you write a book or paint/draw a picture, you have an idea about what you want to do--not necessarily the details. So, it all starts with the first stroke of your pen/pencil/paintbrush--in this day and age of technology, you simply start typing... wherever: phone, tablet, computer. Some books take days, months or even years to write. So does Your Story--after all it's a lifetime of story collections. You don't have to know everything and do everything today. There's always tomorrow--but that's not for you to worry about what Your Story will be like tomorrow. Today is the day to stay focused on.

Each day, remember that you are writing Your Story. Be thoughtful and intentional about what you want to read about yourself at the end of that day--not yesterday or tomorrow--but at the end of today. Don't be overcome or frustrated by what you couldn't do or achieve, but be thankful for what you were able to do. Celebrate your successes and learn from things that didn't go the way you hoped and planned.

Being reflective, daily, helps us grow and with each day, Your Story writing gets better because of the positive outlook you begin to develop and nurture within yourself. And all the while, God is right there beside you, unfolding each new day as a gift (the present) with many possibilities and opportunities available specifically to you. As always, when you write Your Story at the beginning of each day, or week, commit your plans to Jesus... For you never walk or write alone. You have the choice to write Your Story... write it with JOY!
