Think Again...

It's easy to drift away when so much is going on in your life. It is also just as easy to simply exist without even thinking when nothing is going on in your life, that you want to go on or the way you hoped it should be. Has that ever happened to you? A couple of times I've caught myself drifting... then, in those moments, I tell myself to snap out of it. Easier said than done, but that's when you just think again about where you are and what's going on. What makes you drift away from life or doing things... that sometimes you might feel so empty? Think again... This morning I woke up with the words "think again" so I had to write.

If you give yourself permission, and make (set aside) the time to think again about where you are in life and the things that you used to do that made you smile, and brought you joy... you just might surprise yourself. TODAY... PAUSE... just for a while and think again. Reflect on the past couple of days, weeks, months or even years if you need to go back that far. As for me, among so many other things, I miss writing as often as I used to, so here we are today--writing to encourage myself while I encourage you. I set aside the time.

What about you? When you think again... what do you miss doing that you can do right now, later today or perhaps, tomorrow? It might be time spent with people, cleaning, sewing, writing, reading, learning something new, playing games, exercising, traveling... whatever you used to do or would like to do that would bring you joy (wholesome and legal). It may have slipped through your fingers as life happens... think again and see what you can do about it. It doesn't have to be difficult. I know some things are not easy when you're in a slump or something, but take the first step and go at it one more time... and again... and again. So of it may require drastic changes and even discipline, just do it because you are worth it.

We go through ups and downs... when the downs are overwhelming, don't stay down forever... for too long... it's not a healthy state or place to be... work through it... stand up... shake it off... It's not too late... Don't lose yourself, who you are! Who you were created to be. Remember the dreams that you once had. New hopes and dreams that you can have. Think again...

If you ever feel like you're sinking... as you think again, here are a couple of verses to encourage you:

"...but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God." 1 Samuel 30:6b

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
