Chaos...

Chaos??? Things scattered everywhere? Complete disorder and confusion... Do you think about when will it end? Those times when things are just not in place... Maybe you may find yourself in chaos not knowing if you are coming on going. It may seem like nothing is going the way it should be. Things are not looking like you think they ought to be. Yet... in the midst of all that chaos, you may want to find a quiet place to be calm. Is there such a place that you could go to? Escape to? Even just for a minute or two to be still?

Do you even need the quiet, calm place? YES, I say. Some call it "time out" for yourself. You may need to just PAUSE even as life keeps going and things are chaotic. Remember, when you pause, you give yourself a chance to view things from a different perspective. What seems or looks chaotic may just be a few things out of place that have just becoming overwhelming. Maybe because life happened and things slowly slipped out of whack/control. It could have been you (me) or someone else (others). Whatever the causes for the chaos or mess, it's time to SHIFT. PAUSE. Think differently. RESET. Try a new approach. Change your perspective.

Chaos doesn't need to rule your life. You can bring order, even if it's just one area/section of the room, your life, etc. at a time. The key is to recognize the chaos, then deal with it accordingly. Don't let the chaos consume you. Remember, you don't have to do it alone. You can ask for help. God's word encourages to look to Him and He will help: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8) Another great word: "But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”" (Matthew 19:26). God's GOT THIS! You never have to deal with the chaos alone--even if you created the mess yourself :). You just have to be willing to take a step...
