Will you ask again? Again and again. When you’re in need of something or want something and have other options or alternatives, you often don’t pursue one thing. Sometimes you ask for something from a spouse, child, sibling, parent, friend, co-worker or supervisor and hope you get what you’re requesting. When you have alternatives, if your request is denied—you just let it go and go your merry way to the alternatives. That’s one way to go about life…
What if you don’t have options/alternatives? What happens then? What do you do? Do you keep asking again and again or just give up? Do you seek the TRUE GIVER of all things? And let HIM open the doors that no man can shut, and shut doors no man can open? Do you turn to the one and only who LOVES YOU unconditionally that no good thing will He withhold from you when you diligently seek Him? From whom all good and perfect gifts you can and will get? No matter what it is, if it is in accordance to His will, in due season, HE WILL MAKE A WAY, like rivers in the desert.
Consider the man in Luke 11:5-8, who went to ask for bread from his friend at midnight so he could give his other friend who had come to visit him—when he had nothing to give but knew he had to give him something. Initially, the friend refused, but this man asked again and again… he was persistent, and knew he didn’t have any other options. So his friend finally gave him the bread he requested. Jesus said in Luke 11:9-10, Ask, See, Knock… you will Receive, Find and the Door will be opened. And Jesus reminds us in Luke 11:13—how much more will God give to you when you seek Him.
I encourage you, as I encourage myself, to seek God again and again. Plead your case with Him… keep asking the one who answers prayers. When you seek God with all your heart, you will find Him… again and again. Will you ask again?
