Access!

Access is key! This thought was so clear and impactful yesterday morning. I wrote everything down in my journal… so today, I had to share them with you! The power of access amazes from day to day. The impact that other people can have in your life is indescribable. Whose life will you impact by giving them access? Making things happen for them?

Yesterday morning, as I bowed before my God and prayed, giving thanks, the word that came to mind was ACCESS. I was giving thanks for the parents I have, that are not my biological parents—but nonetheless, parents who love me as their own. I was praying, that I can be a blessing to them. As I thought about the impact of access, I was humbled. Sometimes in life you don’t have all the bells, whistles or opportunities to get you where you want to be. But if you have people in your life that can pave the way and give you access to their connections, places, knowledge, etc., you are a step ahead of the game.

If you believe and trust in Jesus, you know without a shadow of doubt that you have access to things that are beyond your imagination. You just need to tap in, align yourself, ask and prepare yourself so that when access opens doors, or simply gives way to opportunities, you are ready to go. My “adopted” parents, both sets, have been an amazing blessing to me in more ways than I ever imagined or dreamed of. Yesterday, I was reminded how much I’ve been able to attain because THEY gave me access. They paved the way for me… in-spite of any “limitations” that were there. It’s my honor to be a blessing to them, but also to help others by giving them access… whatever that looks like.

Who will you give access to today, this week, this month? Knowledge, connections, money, etc. can provide access to someone or some people in need… no matter how small or great the need. Will you be open to share what you have access to? Will you be a channel of blessing for another, without expecting anything in return? What type of access can you provide?

Access is key!

  1. Permission, liberty, or ability to enter, approach, or pass to and from a place or to approach or communicate with a person or thing e.g. Investigators wanted to get access to his home.

  2. Freedom or ability to obtain or make use of something e.g. paying for access to the Internet

  3. A way or means of entering or approaching e.g. a canal provides access to the river. A building that provides wheelchair access [=a way for people in wheelchairs to enter]

  4. The act or an instance of accessing something
