As you begin this week... Monday is gone... now, for the rest of the week! Press On. Press On. Press On. Definition: "to continue moving forward in a forceful or steady way." OR: "to continue to do something especially in a determined way." I recently listened to a presentation by Natalie Heeley from Forever Living and one thing she reminded me was that the journey (or week) may be a roller coaster ride, with all it's ups and downs, exciting and scaring times, but it will be worth it! So I say, PRESS ON! Never give up on your dreams because God is faithful. Don't give up on your assignment because only you can do it the best way that God intended it to be done. You are well able!
Sometimes the journey is tough and all you want to do is throw in the towel and walk away. Then God gives you a glimpse of greater things to come and your hope is reignited with passion to press on! Fan the flame that once burned in your heart for the dream(s) that you have. Press On because you will reap a great harvest. You are not the only one who faces challenges. We all do in some shape or form. That's okay because we are human. Time and again you will make mistakes, fall short of expectations, and maybe even disappoint yourself and other people--especially those closest to you. PRESS ON! Never stay stuck in that zone of disappointment or defeat. Things happen--all you do is get up and keep moving!
Throughout the process of pressing on, be attentive to life around you. Listen out for God's small still voice else you may miss it if you are too focused on the distractions and/or challenges/issues. "and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice." (1 Kings 19:12) Listen and obey. The rewards of obedience are refreshing and encouraging. Sometimes you may not feel like doing what you know HE is telling you to do, do it anyway because God truly knows best and better than you :) God knows the future and the hearts of every person. Everyone that you need to be connected to (or with) in that specific season. God can change the king's heart (whomever that is) to be a blessing to you. HE will work it out. It may take time, so you just need to Press On!
If you hold on... and steadfastly press on... you will rejoice and be grateful that you followed through and did what God asked you to do, even if you were kicking and screaming... resisting... on the inside. When you are willing to listen and take action on what you hear from God, HE will amaze you over and over and over!!! Press On with joy even in the midst of a challenge or storm! Remember... the glass is always half full so you can keep pressing on!
