It's been a while... but I am still walking... how is your walking? Walking down a road you've never walked before can be scary and/or exciting. That depends on what your new journey is. You need faith to make it through. Faith to get started and keep moving forward. Faith to complete the new journey: each new chapter/season. Sometimes you may feel alone even though you are surrounded by loved ones who are always there to support you. Remember to call on (and draw from) the support that your loved ones have. They are always willing to help if you ask--(for the most part :) - just keeping it real.
Do your part... but also feel free to call for help whenever you need it... especially, from Jesus, whose Word says: "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;" (Psalm 91:11) Remember to let the Word of God guide you: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105) No matter the trials... God is right there by your side every step of the way... "But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold." (Job 23:10) because you will make it through!
True help and support can't be imposed to have a positive impact. People can only offer their love and support as you walk through this new journey, but you have to be willing (and open) to accept/receive their help and support when you need it. You are strong and able to be victorious no matter what comes your way, but there will be days when you need a helping hand, every now and then, to make things much easier for you. Remember, you were not created to alone or as an island on earth--you connected to a family that loves you deeply. You know who you call family. It's not just the "blood" relatives... it's also the family you have come to know over the years--which includes friends. And, you have bonded with key people that are committed to you and want to see you succeed. The people that have been assigned by God for this season in your life.
So, embrace the help and support along the way... as you are walking this new journey... You are not alone, you have an excited and supportive team behind you all the way. Don't concern yourself with the naysayers! Let this new journey be a blessing and not a trial... even though there will be times that feel like it's a trial and you want to give up... don't give up... Have faith and daily erase doubt and fear that can be crippling... Always"Find joy in the journey." - Thomas S. Monson.
