Change your perspective!


It's MAY 2017!!! Who saw that coming so fast? LOL... But it's here. It's time! As you embark on this week and start this new month, change your perspective. Don't go into this week and this entire month with the same old mindset of defeat or negative attitude from last month... April 2017 is gone! It's not coming back. Remember, perspective means: "a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view." The synonyms include: "outlook, view, viewpoint, point of view, POV, standpoint, position, stand, stance, angle, slant, attitude, frame of mind, frame of reference, approach, way of looking, interpretation: You may have heard: "If you always do what you've always done, you will always get what you've always got. Many people attribute this quote to Anthony Robbins and before him Albert Einstein, Henry Ford, and even Mark Twain. Regardless of the origin, what matters is the point it makes." What are you going to choose to do? What will your "frame of mind" and "approach" be as you go forth?

I encourage you to change things up this week and this month. Set new goals, hopes and dreams... what hasn't worked needs to be tossed out the window and let go off. Stop holding on to what's not working as it should be. OR, start changing how it should be working. Either way, change your perspective in how you have been looking at whatever situation or issue you have. You have what it takes so don't limit yourself. If you need to learn new things... do that! Whether it's your life in general, your health, work, business, family, friendships, or school... it's time to have a shift that transforms you from being negative about any part of it or feeling hopeless and just going for it with such tenacity that the world (life) won't even know what hit it!

Only you can change your perspective to adjust it the most effective way that will result in better (or different) outcomes. People can encourage you, challenge you, give you advice and options... but only you can choose and actually take action to change your mindset and therefore, change your perspective. It definitely can be challenging to do, if you have been trapped in a certain mindset, consciously or unconsciously. It could be more difficult if the mindset is unconsciously ingrained in you... however, you know what you want to see happen in your life. If you are struggling to know how to change things, maybe take a step back and look from the outside into your life... or ask a trusted confidant to help you make an assessment. Whatever the outcome of that assessment (on your own or with that person), only you can change your perspective about what needs to be done next.

I am excited that we can all move forward this new week and new month with a renewed mind, changed perspective and fearless attitude. I say fearless attitude because sometimes change, or changing things brings about it's own fears that can hold you back. But if you already know that fear will attempt to creep in as you make some changes to your thinking and how you approach things, you are a step ahead of overcoming that fear. Change your perspective and go forth and conquer (FILL IN THE BLANK). You know what you want to or need to do! Take charge!!!
