How often do you find yourself thinking…WHO AM I? (or have you ever had that thought?) I was standing at my desk and suddenly that question dropped in my spirit! I was excited… for once I’m not asking myself “who am I?” because I am so lost, frustrated and distressed. I am excited that I am a child of God! I am a princess. I am loved and adored. I am precious. I am whole. I am healthy. I am joyful. I am enough! I am all the things that God created me to be. I have big dreams and God will make a way for them to come true! Believe this for yourself!
Consider these verses and be expectant: “And this day I came to the well and said, ‘O Lord God of my master Abraham, if You will now prosper the way in which I go, behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass that when the virgin comes out to draw water, and I say to her, “Please give me a little water from your pitcher to drink,” and she says to me, “Drink, and I will draw for your camels also,”—let her be the woman whom the Lord has appointed for my master’s son.’ (Genesis 24:42-44) This man was expectant! So he went to the well. He positioned himself!!! He knew who he was... know who you are!
You may have heard the phrase or said it to encourage yourself when your chips were down… “This too shall pass.” However, today, in this context… with expectation and great excitement I say “This too shall come to pass.” I say the greatness will come! No matter the challenges/obstacles I will face, they will all propel me to achieve my hopes and dreams. It may take longer than I think I can bear… but I will hold on. Whatever your hopes and dreams… no matter the delays… remember you will overcome! Declare “Who You Are” so that you can walk in that!
Today, I pray that you remind yourself who you are! Not because you are sad… or you are trying to find yourself. BUT because you are excited!!! Be excited because of WHO God created you to be!
