Together!

Every now and then it's good to be reminded of the truth that you know so that you can continue on the path that you are with reassurance. "United we stand, divided we fall." - Aesop. So many things in this life require that we do together. A house that prays together, cannot be easily overcome because you are not only united as a family (or team) but you are also united in spirit. The Word of God exhorts us in many ways about the importance of doing things together:"And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand." (Mark 3:25) Also, "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19) In the context of today's encouragement, together means: "with or in proximity to another person or people; at the same time." When you are together, you learn to share openly and candidly with each other.

Some may argue that you can do life all on your own, but even God said at the beginning of creation that was not good: "And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." (Genesis 2:18) If GOD, who knows all things said it is not good to be alone, believe, know and understand that "together" is important and crucial in life. No need to deny it :). NOTE: This is not just about being with a spouse, it's about being together with whomever you need to partner with for whatever goal you have to achieve. It may be your spouse, child, sibling, parent, friend, co-worker, etc., who you need to partner with... to be together in one mindset, united.

It's important to remember: "Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken." (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12) Whenever God sends someone, they are never alone because He is with them and sometimes He will lead and connect them to another person or people so that they can achieve His purpose together.

In Noah's ark, even the animals went in 2 by 2: "There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah." (Genesis 7:9) So what does that say to you about togetherness? How important should "together" be? Together you will go far and achieve your dreams/goals. Together you can lift each other up and encourage each other when things are not going well, or as expected. When you know without a shadow of doubt that someone (or a group of people) have your back, it boosts your confidence and you run the race with great determination and perseverance. Today, check yourself. Are you living life "together" as it should be? Who do you need to partner with for ______________ (fill in the blank)? Who do you need to be on your team so that you can do this together and succeed?

Live life together!
