Defeated?

At some point you may have felt, or feel defeated. Today shouldn't be one of those days. Don't go out into the world with a defeated mindset or mentality saying to yourself: "I can't do it," OR "I will fail," OR "I won't make it." All those are self-defeating statements! Go into the world with a winner's mentality that will fight to win the race or competition they are in no matter what. Yes, not everyone is going to be first, at some point you may face defeat, but you can be and will be a winner if you don't concede to failure--especially before you even try :).

There is so much out there for you to have your share of what God has in store and has purposed from the beginning of time. But you have to go out and get it... it won't come to you while you are sitting on your laurels or complaining about the injustices, challenges, lack of opportunity or access. Just go for it and don't settle for defeat. One definition says defeated means: "demoralized and overcome by adversity." Whenever you feel that way, don't stay there too long...

A song goes: "I won't be defeated" by Damon Little. I encourage you today to sing along and DECLARE that you are WON'T be defeated! Of course, you know that your victory is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of God so victory is guaranteed. However, there will be no victory unless you play your part to be successful such as training, preparation and trusting God (having faith all along the way). You also need to stay in your lane so that you are doing what you are purposed for--not trying to be someone else or living out other people's dreams or expectations of you. You will not be defeated if you are in the will of God. When challenges or disappointments come, you know those are learning opportunities and growth in your trust and dependence on God because you can't do anything alone--without Him. You are more than a conqueror because He who lives in you is greater than he who is in the world and anything that the enemy will throw at you, you will overcome by the power and grace of God! Be encouraged with another song: "Victory Belongs To Jesus" by Todd Dulaney

Victory has been guaranteed from the beginning... even the Israelites in the Old Testament (Bible) experienced it. When they walked with God in obedience, victory was theirs. "We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, The deeds You did in their days, In days of old: You drove out the nations with Your hand, But them You planted; You afflicted the peoples, and cast them out. For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them." (Psalm 44:1-3)

Today, go forth and be encouraged that you won't be defeated with God on your side!
