When there are dry bones... there is no life or activity. There is silence. It's hopeless... when you think about your life... what are the dry bones in your life today? What do you need to come alive in your life that has been laying dormant... or dead... for far too long? What do you need restored and brought back to life? Is it a dream you had, a relationship, a business, etc.? Whatever your valley and the dry bones that are there... I believe that restoration is possible if you are willing to believe and do the work it takes. Restoration is a process... It's time for the dry bones to come alive!
In Ezekiel 37:1-14 you read about the dry bones coming to life! But for the bones to come alive, it wasn't instant and someone had to go forth and speak/declare their restoration. "The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry." (verse 1-2) You need to have the hand of God in your life and recognize the dry bones in the valley--if you don't recognize them, how can you speak life into them? "And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord." (verse 3 - 4)... you get the gist of the story... unless you recognize and speak, the dry bones will not come alive! Your dreams will not be awakened or fulfilled the way they could be if you speak life over them. As you look at the dry bones... what do you see? Life or death?
There is power of life and death in the tongue... Use your tongue to speak life and not death over your situations. The dry bones will remain in the valley, lifeless, for as long as you are not speaking life... "So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army." (Ezekiel 37:7-10) When the bones came together, they were still lifeless. Remember, restoration is a process. For the dry bones in your life to come alive, you may need to call upon other resources to help... Ezekiel was told to call upon the wind... which breathed upon the the lifeless human bodies... what are the winds in your life that you need to call upon to help fulfill or complete the activation or awakening of the dream, relationship, or business, etc.?
I woke up with the song "Come Alive (Dry Bones)" by Lauren Daigle and my heart rejoiced... the lyrics that kept repeating in my head: "As we call out to dry bones; Come alive, come alive; We call out to dead hearts; Come alive, come alive... So breathe, oh breath of God; Now breathe, oh breath of God" I am so glad that God is reminding you and I that dry bones can come together, the breath of God makes a difference, and we have the power, by the grace of God to speak the Word of God over every situation (valley of dry bones) to come alive in Jesus' Name. I encourage you today to let loose and activate the Word of God in your life so that you may speak truth to all the dry bones in the valleys of your life. Let them be restored! Have FAITH it will happen.
