Are you effortlessly you? What do you do that is effortless? Some of life's most enjoyable and rewarding relationships, experiences, jobs, etc. are those that are effortless. Not that you don't do your part or put in any effort, but your effort doesn't feel strenuous or forced. Any time and work you put in hardly makes a significant dent in your life that you feel like you wasted time or have regrets. If anything, you feel joy and satisfaction! As you reflect on the past relationships, experiences or job--which ones were effortless? And now, which ones are still effortless? Appreciate them.
There are many activities that are effortless and come naturally for people. You may find it effortless to give a word of encouragement to anyone willing to listen--wherever you meet them. OR as a father, mother, nurse, caregiver who loves to take care of children, spouses, parents, friends, relatives, pets, etc. Caring and providing comes naturally--and doesn't stress you to think about it or do it in a twinkling of an eye. It is simply effortless on your part. Maybe you freely give advice to people--when it's sought after, not imposed--so you find that people often come to you because they trust and value what you have to say. Continue and be encouraged that you are making a positive difference. Even working out is effortless for some people--what a joy to be good to your physical and emotional self!
Over the years I have noticed that the effortless relationships, experiences and jobs are those that I treasure the most and very deeply. Maybe that's how it is for you too. Granted, sometimes you may overextend yourself because things come so naturally for you. Just remember to draw the line and have balance in your life. When interruptions or delays come and take away from those effortless moments--embrace them as challenges and learning/growth opportunities. Be patient.
Once in a while you may struggle--say if you are a writer and get writer's block. Be still. Wait--it will come. The thoughts will begin to flow again and it will be beautiful. It did for me today :). All this to say, enjoy the effortless things! Besides, effortless activities create good and lasting memories! Enjoy being effortlessly you!
