When life gets tough, OR people seem irrational, OR you simply have no fight left in you in whatever season you are in, it's so easy to walk away--just to give up and throw in the towel. I encourage you today: Don't Walk Away! There is more to life, the relationship, the situation that you need to stick around and fight for. You can do more than you have been doing... but only you truly know that. Don't be distracted by the frustrations and disappointments all around that you forget and can no longer see the good, potential, possibilities, the beauty and what's worth keeping.
I woke up this morning with the song in my heart: "He's Able" by Deitrick Haddon. The words of the chorus: "God is able to do just what He said He would do; He's gonna fulfill every promise to you; Don't give up on God, cause He won't give up on you; He's able" Sometimes your faith and hope are shaken so much when you have been doing everything "right" but nothing seems to change (or work) and your prayers are not being answered the way you hoped for. Even when you are in the midst of a raging storm, or walking through the scorching heat in a calm desert, don't walk away and give up on God. Remember God's word: "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." (Ephesians 3:20-21, NKJV) In due season, He will do it. In fact, so far, He's already done more than you realize. Don't Walk Away!
As you go through life, and specifically in this season, remember, God's promises are Yes and Amen! "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us." (2 Corinthians 1:20, NKJV) Your role is to continue to seek after God and nurture your relationship with Him so that you don't walk away from Him. As the Bible says: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33, NKJV) When you have the basics right (your relationship with God) everything else falls into place... and as usual, it's a process. For now, change your perspective on things--look at them from God's viewpoint. This life situation you are facing, relationship, etc. is all part of the journey. IF you walk away before it's done--you will probably miss out on what God has purposed. Hang in there! Use wisdom and discernment. Try something different, maybe a new approach--and keep holding on to your faith in the process. Don't Walk Away today! You can do this.
PS: A traditional puzzle is never completed all at once... you start with one piece... and you keep adding pieces, one at a time, until it is finished. Your life is full of puzzles, don't walk away before a puzzle is complete. [If you have already walked away (but that wasn't the right decision or time), please reconsider...] God will help you through getting back on track!
