In whatever you do, say and think, are your intentions filled with purity? Pause... give this some thought... think about it...
Purity definition: "Children, fresh snow, and solid gold are all known for their purity. Purity comes from the Latin purus meaning "clean, clear, unmixed, chaste." When you're talking about something that is clean and unmixed, you are talking about something characterized by purity. This can refer to someone's character or intentions." In their innocence and purity, children speak truth from their heart without a second thought--for the most part, unless their mind have been corrupted/contaminated by the world, starting with their parents or local environment. (That's a story for another day :)) Nonetheless, children speak their mind. Could our approach in life be as little children in their state of purity?
In our walk with Jesus, the Word of God reminds us to conduct ourselves accordingly, with purity of heart...: "He called a little child and set him before them, and said, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless you repent [that is, change your inner self—your old way of thinking, live changed lives] and become like children [trusting, humble, and forgiving], you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is greatest in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:2-4, AMP) If we would daily approach God like little children, imagine what a difference that would be...
When you see fresh snow on the ground, trees, cars, houses, etc., in its purity, you marvel at how white, shiny, reflective and clean it is. Could your life be reflective of the purity within you? When you walk about each day... Are your intentions filled with purity?
Solid gold goes through the fire and comes our in its purest state. Are you able to go through the fire--challenges, arguments, frustrations, misfortune, stress, depression, bankruptcy, breakups, etc. and still come out pure as gold? Your life being characterized by such purity? It's not easy, but it is possible. It's very possible if your heart, mind, soul and spirit are also in the right place and you are willing, humble and submissive.
Like children, you can easily be influenced; like snow, you can easily be tarnished and made dirty, BUT like gold, the impurities can be removed. Thank God we are given one more chance each day, because of His grace. God is willing to help you when you reach out to Him to help you with that clean/pure heart. May your refining day(s) bring you to the state when you are purified. And your attitude/conduct can be reflective of that purity!
