The Weight!

You walk around with a ton of bricks on your shoulders--the weight seems so unbearable. Yet, you wear a strong and positive face and attitude that no one ever truly knows the struggle of the weight that you are carrying around every day. You want to share the weight--in fact, you long to share the weight--if only you could. If only someone you trusted enough was right there beside you to dump some of the weight, to share the burden you are carrying. There is someone! Are you willing to share the weight?

How long can you keep carrying that weight on your own? It keeps weighing you down and you just don't realize how much--what the real effect is. How it affects your life, relationships, etc. You may have been or acted irrational, irritable, indecisive, etc... very uncharacteristic of yourself... and you don't even know why.. it's the weight! Many times, if God is your hope, you have gone to the altar to "lay down the weight" but when you walk away, you still have that weight. Think about it... have you truly laid down the weight? Well, I discovered that you can't lay it down because, for the most part, the weight is too heavy to lift up from your shoulders to put it down--on your own.

Realize this, you can't do it alone! It takes only a miracle, when God lifts up the weight because you have a "come to Jesus" moment and truly acknowledge the weight. You finally see the weight for what it is and what or who you have become because of the weight you have been carrying on your shoulders. I pray that you have a "come to Jesus" moment too and that your weight would be lifted up miraculously! The freedom, joy and relief you feel can't be explained! God's word says: "I removed the burden from his shoulder; His hands were freed from the basket." (Psalm 81:6 AMP) When it happens, you will be shocked yet overjoyed. Remember, yesterday I said you have the victory? You do! Keep practicing that--over and over again--that you have the victory. Before you know it, the weight will be lifted for real this time.

PS: This may happen (most likely) in different seasons of your life. We encounter different challenges depending where we are in life--so don't think it's one permanent fix! It takes a relationship with God and those "come to Jesus" moments when you finally face the weight.

Celebrate when the weight is lifted!
