Every single day is a cause for celebration because it is a gift from God. That's why it is called the "PRESENT" and not the past :) When we celebrate a birthday, graduation, marriage, promotion, etc. for the most part, presents are involved. So what more the ultimate gift of 24 hours from the God of love, who gives unconditionally and for no other reason except that He can and wants to every single day. He doesn't have to. He is not obligated to. God loves you and that's the reason why.
Today, I celebrate even more because it is my birthday! I celebrate the gift of life that I woke up in my right mind, got out of a warm bed and walked about. I'm grateful for so much that at times I have even taken for granted. Today is about reflecting the good and the bad, and being grateful that I am still standing! I am reminded that you ought to celebrate each day because yesterday is dead and gone, tomorrow is not promised but TODAY is here with endless possibilities and opportunities to live and make a difference in at least one person's life--including your own! Remember, tomorrow, you will get another PRESENT!
Don't fret the big or small stuff that comes along the way. Joys and sorrows are all part of life. If you don't go through the pain of sorrows or disappointments, you may not appreciate the joys that cause you to celebrate. Today, celebrate yourself, a loved one, friend, co-worker and/or dare I say... a stranger! Be present and enjoy the present. Celebrate! Celebrate! Celebrate. Don't hold back!
