Time for some introspection. Who are you? Who have you been lately? Who were you growing up? Basically, who were you in the different seasons of your life? Who are you trying to be or emulate in this season? Time and again, we change or portray a version of ourselves to suit (or adapt to) the season or circumstances we are in. Sometimes that can be good and fun, but other times it can be more stressful than anything else because you are not truly being yourself. Why be a copy when you are the original? To be oneself means to "act naturally, according to one's character and instincts."
When you wake up in the morning, (or whatever time is the "start" of your day), who do you wake up as and to be? We are all born... sometimes into a loving family or other times into a hurting, dysfunctional family. Either way, life, circumstances, the environment and family influence who you are and often who you become. There may come a time when you "come to your senses" and take a step back and think, who am I? (Or this has already happened for you.) If that time hasn't come, when it comes, which may even happen many times throughout your life, don't stress about it. Different seasons sometimes affect us such that we ask, who am I? Or, is this who I am? Whatever the case, remind yourself of the basics.
First and foremost, you were created by a loving and gracious Father (God) who has loved you from before you were born. Everything about you matters to Him. Never try to be who you are not. When you get a moment, read Psalms 139--the whole chapter. For now, I want to remind you of a few verses: "For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was being formed in secret, And intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth. Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were appointed for me, When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape]." (Psalms 139:13-16). Second and lastly, no matter how you got here... you are loved and very special. So, be yourself!
Choices you make influence the course of your life, but you are still who God created you to be. BE AN ORIGINAL and never a copy! Be yourself at all times. Be the best you God created! Everything else will fall into place as you walk fearlessly being true to yourself. JUST BE YOURSELF!
