How wonderful it is to be free in a world full of things that can hold you bondage. Freedom is defined as "the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint." OR "the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved." In the morning, when I wake up, I have a choice to live that day in freedom or to be bound (enslaved) by my circumstances or obstacles that exist all around me. What choices did you make today? Did you choose to be free or were you so caught up in "life" that all you did was just exist? Life is too precious for simple existence! We all need to LIVE and that is best done with freedom. It means choosing to rise above the challenges life throws at you with a positive approach and attitude.
To be free is also to live without self-condemnation and self-destruction. To be able to accept one's imperfections, knowing that one was never created to be perfect... only to live by grace and be holy, just as God is holy who in turn makes each of us holy when we choose to accept Jesus as our personal Savior and live a life worthy of your calling in God. What helps some people is knowing that their freedom was bought at a price, by Jesus Christ. Even the Bible reminds us: "The faith which you have [that gives you freedom of choice], have as your own conviction before God [just keep it between yourself and God, seeking His will]. Happy is he who has no reason to condemn himself for what he approves." (Romans 14:22)
Also remember... Freedom doesn't mean living or acting irresponsibly. [ The Believer’s Freedom ] “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. (1 Corinthians 10:23) Whenever you reflect on how far you have come, remember that you have the choice and ability/power to live with (in) freedom from your past. Nothing can hold you back, not even the toughest experiences. Once you are established and are living in freedom, you can easily get unstuck from the rut you may find yourself in. Cut yourself some slack and take it easy! Enjoy the life of freedom... and never give up...
