Today is a very special day that many celebrate the precious gift given to man from God for the salvation of souls on earth. Everyone has an opinion about today and that influences the attitude they exude today--and for some, how they feel or act all the time. Some people have an attitude of gratitude, being thankful that God so loved the world (all of us) that He gave His Son, Jesus Christ. A priceless gift that can only be received and enjoyed by faith. Having an embracing attitude helps too! May today be a good reminder to you of how much you are loved and influence your attitude of gratitude. May your experience today be memorable :)
Having a positive/good attitude today and always is the beginning of many victories over any challenges or misunderstandings you may encounter. Today may be a reminder of a painful experience that you long to forget and therefore, you feel justified to be angry and have a negative attitude towards people. However, all a negative attitude does is rob you of JOY and negatively impacts people around you whether or not you intentionally mean to. Think about what kind of impact you want to have today, and everyday when you wake up. How do you want to be impacted?
Attitude matters in how you speak to, and treat, other people. We all know the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". In the Bible, this is emphasized as well: "So then, in everything treat others the same way you want them to treat you, for this is [the essence of] the Law and the[writings of the] Prophets." (Matthew 7:12). What you put out there is more likely to come back to you immediately or at some point in the future. I often try to think, what if the show was on the other foot? If I was that person receiving the negative vibes/attitude, how would I feel?
Whatever negativity you have experienced or has happened is not worth having a bad attitude about today, or generally in life. This too shall pass--whatever "this" is. Have a positive attitude today and let the joy it brings overflow into your actions and words. Don't let other people's bad attitudes negatively impact your day or attitude. Don't judge other people's attitude--just do you! Exude the positive attitude wherever you are, in whatever you say and do!
