In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and especially during this Christmas season, we sometimes inundate ourselves with so many plans, commitments, things to do, people to see, places to go to and even things we feel we need to purchase. When we are overwhelmed we wonder why... Go figure! When some things don't happen the way they are supposed to--according to us--we get thrown off, sometimes into a frenzy or tizzy. What about taking a step back to "breathe" and try to make (keep) things simple?
When you wake up, there is always stuff that needs to get done--starting with just getting up and everything that you need to get you going through the day; and then the things that you actually have to do during the day and evening. Life has a lot going on every single day and we have be to able to manage it well to stay sane. When you really think about it, is the fussing or stressing worth it? Excitement to do something is one thing. When preparing to do something or go somewhere starts to be consuming and you get overwhelmed or frustrated, it's time to step back and say: "How can I keep it simple?" Just that 'pause' make a world of difference because it gives you an opportunity to be still and hopefully think even more rationally.
Life is full of surprises which are good and bad. How you respond (not react) is what matters most. The simpler the response (versus the reaction) the better--everything within reason! A curve ball thrown at you is probably just another learning opportunity. So, whatever life throws at you in the hustle and bustle of each day, think: "keep it simple" so that your approach may be more rational. Simplicity is key! Don't overthink or complicate what doesn't need to be complicated. Keep It Simple! And have a ball (fun) while you are at it.
