Actions... not Intentions!

Life is not about intentions but more about actions. I have fallen short many, many times and that needs to change... permanently. Not that I will be perfect, but will follow through more than I have in the past. You intend to call a friend or family member, but time passes by and things happen then you don't and the call never happens. You intend to visit someone for so long, but never make an actual plan to do so, and before you know it a year has gone just because life happened. Where did the time go? Life got in the way of intentions. Whatever you "intend" to do... fill in the blank... it's just not getting done. No matter how good your intentions are, if they are not followed through by actions, they mean NOTHING. ZERO. :)

I have so many intentions, so many things I said I would do but haven't followed through. Yes, you can't do everything so you need to cut yourself some slack. But you know deep down in your heart the things you intended or intend to do that just slipped through the cracks because life happened. NO MORE EXCUSES. Don't intend so much. Just do what you need to do. If you can't do, don't intend to do too much. I'm still learning that lesson... Remember, there's only one of you!

Life should be taken in bite sizes and not in big chunks so that yo don't have to ride the guilty train all the time about what you intended but failed to do. (There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, and that includes you!) Practice not saying you will do something if there's a remote possibility you really don't want to do it--or just don't have the time/energy to do it. Only say you hope to do it--but that's not a passport to be non-committal either. Just practice being more truthful with yourself and not committing to things you only intend to do but not actually follow through with actions. All I'm saying is "SAY what you MEAN to SAY and DO!" One day at a time. Not to be lived in the prison of guilt (what you intended to do). Each new day is a fresh beginning just for you... so you can start over. Remember, yesterday is dead and gone... Today is a new day! ACT!
