Letting go is only the beginning of discovering you and truly being yourself. It's not everyday that you wake up and feel like you can conquer the world--even though with God on your side, that's totally possible. You're human and God understands that, after all He created you and knows you the most!
God reminds you each morning to let go of yesterday. "Forgetting what lies behind and pressing on toward the goal." What's done is done and can't be undone--sad but true. It's written down in history, but it doesn't define who you are, it only records what happened yesterday. TODAY is a NEW DAY and you can make the most of today with a RENEWED MIND and positive attitude . Today will be the best of your life if YOU are WILLING to take the chance to let go and let God lead.
'Use me for your glory' is what I pray almost every morning--which should be daily really. I may not always be successful, because of the flesh--the human that I am, BUT! I praise God that He gives me tomorrow. We don't live to regret yesterday or be anxious about tomorrow. We LIVE for TODAY. So let go of all those overwhelming thoughts because all they'll do is wear you down... then you won't have any joy or strength to make it through the end of the day... and tomorrow... you will be regretting what you could've or should've done today. We all have the same amount of time... so no one is ahead of you in the game. How you choose to start your day... letting go... determines the course of your day.
I woke up with a song in my head/heart--as I do most mornings and I hope it encourages you. The words that I kept repeating from the song are: "He will come and save you, He will come and save you; Say to the weary one, your God will surely come; Lift up your eyes to Him, you will arise again; He will come and save you." God is FAITHFUL and we are reminded to be fully convinced, persuaded and confident that HE who BEGAN and good work in you will see it to completion. So, no need to derail yourself by being stuck in the past of yesterday! Move forward, letting go of what has already taken place and make the most of today! Consciously let go and let God be the driver today... and always.
